400-018 | Thomas P Sherwood’s cup used in Stalag Luft I handle made from barbed wire and a Red Cross tin can. He had broken his glass mug (see diary). This had an aluminumum spoon with a swastika on the handle being clutched by an eagle. The spoon was not found when I began being steward of the archives. I don't know if Dad lost it or if it was "appropriated" during one of his memorial association trips or one of his public talks he liked to give from time to time. |
